How to design the family swimming poolÂ
Here are some items to ponder
- What shape do you want your pool? Do you have your heart set on a kidney or oval or do you want to go traditional with a rectangle or somewhere in between? Find a shape you think you’d like and talk with yoru pool contractor about it and whether that style will fit into your yard space. Keep in mind that some shapes can only be realized with certain types of construction material; ask us for more info on that.
- Does a hot tub or swim up spa figure into your plans? If you want a hot tub as part of the pool or as a standalone you should determine that up front.
- What type of deck and poolside landscaping will you want? Keep in mind that you will probably spend as much time, if not more, around the pool as you will in the pool. Because of this you will want a lovely space in which to sit poolside and relax. You may want a pool house or gazebo and if you are budgeting for that let us know up front so we can work that into the 3D modeling and renderings so you can see what the finished yard will look like.
Safety matters. You may not have given much thought to the safety items associated with a swimming pool, but we have. You will need to budget for a fence around the pool as well as other safety measures you want for your pool to make it the safest room in the house. Safety fencing can be both beautiful and functional and will likely be required by the municipality in which you live. Ask us for tips on fence styles.
