Imperial Pool Builders, serving Champaign & Decatur, IL offer autumn pool maintenance tips
Labor Day is just around the corner and with that comes the time when many pool owners think about having to close the pool for winter. How to prepare your pool for the off-seson is something the swimming pool contractors from Imperial Pool Builders work with pool owners to make happen. They understand that properly closing the pool for the winter months will protect it and make the subsequent summer opening much smoother and easier.
If you’re not quite ready to day good bye to the pool for the season, but you want to make winterization easier, here are a few steps you can take now to get ready for autumn and then the inevitable pool seasonal closing:
- Wash inflatables. Dry them thoroughly. Deflate and then store for the winter.
- Be diligent with skimming of the pool, especially if you’re not using a pool cover. Don’t let leaves fall into the pool and sink to the bottom. They can discolor the pool and lead to algae.
